tonight John Atkins the city manager stated that the city will be using some NEW form of “safe harbor”. I can’t find any new “safe harbor”. But anyway, that doesn’t matter. WHY DID IT TAKE HIM OVER 2 YEARS TO FIGURE IT OUT?
There are just some children that can’t be trained to follow the rules. They want their way regardless. They will always have an excuse when an indescretion is revealed. . Need I say more?????
Hello-
The only “safe harbor” I know is in ORS 195.034 and OAR 660-024-0030. I checked with the City of Molalla and that is what they have been referring to at the meetings.

It is almost funny watching the plannin’ fools and their land speculator buddies twist in the population forecasting wind.
Any SANE AND RESPONSIBLE planning effort would have GOTTON SOMETHING ACOMPLISHED LONG AGO!
What part about how complex complete comp plans are and how totally not even close the city is don’t they understand. Do they think the County cares about “all the years” or that the State cares about “boo hoo Molalla plannin’ stories?
Can you imagine how unlucky you would feel if you were a highly trained PLANNING PROFESSION and you had to “work” with Molalla plannin’ and the clueless city “leaders”?
Those agency people must think the entire city government is illiterate!
Oh, well – at least it gives the rest of the EDUCATED PLANNING WORLD something to laugh about behind closed doors! Can’t you see them saying “Did you hear what those fools in Molalla are trying to do now – can you believe what a mess that city is? Ha ha ha ha ha!”
It only takes one look at them there “plannin’ files” or one listen to them there “plannin’ hearins” for any sane person to run the other way. It would be funny if it didn’t represent such a WASTE OF PUBLIC MONIES.
A “birdie” told me that there will be PROBLEMS if the idiotic Molalla doesn’t pass the EXPENSIVE DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN soon – after all, agencies spent a ton of money and time and it is the only Goal that is remotely ready to adopt. Agencies are getting antsy and want to know WHY it isn’t implemented yet?
