A couple days ago Dan Jacober put in a public records request for all email communications between city councilor Mary Jo Mackie and Steve Clark and Susan Hansen. This coming only days after Danna questioned the costs to the city of the public records requests of Susan Hansen. What a Hypocrite.
She will claim that she is not responsible for her husband’s actions of course, but will enjoy the use of information her husband gets through his request. As if this isolates her from being the one looking to stir the pot again.
Poor Mary Jo, I guess she is guilty of communicating with her constituents or by association with the people most vocal about the problems with our city and it’s staff.
Wouldn’t Jacober better serve our community by focusing on the urgent issues facing Molalla, like the bad planning, failing infrastructure, and lack of business development, instead of spending all her time and energy on futile witch hunts?

I am taking up a collection so we can send the Jacobers – the “King of Sleaze” and the “Queen of Paranoia” – to North Korea for further training in suppression of PUBLIC INFORMATION.
The joined at the hip Jacobers (I guess that the “King of Sleaze” can’t be trusted out of sight of the “Queen of Paranoia”) are NEVER INTERESTED IN FACTS OR DEBATE – all we hear from them is a constant harping about “LEAKS” and constant attacks on other who have the courage to engage in DEBATE.
Let’s all pass the tin cup and get them off on their journey for training in North Korea – if we’re lucky they’ll like it and stay and Molalla can get a PROGRESSIVE HONEST OPEN PERSON TO REPLACE THE QUEEN OF PARANOIA on the Council. Wouldn’t that be something – to have a person with IDEAS fill that “vacant” seat. And ‘VACANT” fits the “Queen of Paranoia” to a tee!
The good news is that the Queen of Paranoia”s term is up next year. How about it Molalla city dwellers – here is a great opportunity to find some one to run who has more interest in YOU and YOUR future than in catering to the Good Old Boy Cabal that owns the butt of the Queen of Paranoia. Maybe you can find a concerned engaged citizen to run who understands public open process, who understands that the Comp Plan is garbage created for land speculators, and who won’t be afraid to engage in lively debate IN THE OPEN IN PUBLIC to move Molalla ahead. Maybe someone who can force the Queen of Paranoia to step up to speak and to write something PUBLIC about her visions for Molalla?
Until someone knocks the Witch off her paranoid broomstick Molalla suffers. Jacober HAS ZERO IDEAS – she actually THANKED the idiots who are pretending to be a plannin’ co-mmission – and the only other people who thank the plannin’ co-mission are LAND SPECULATORS!.
Finally, the Paranoid Witch should think twice about trying to trash Mary Jo Mackie – the person who got the MOST VOTES in the last election and the person who is the ONLY COUNCILOR elected to the Council outright the first time (all the rest were appointed or appointed and then ran for re-election). I would say that tells us a lot about who the public respects and trusts.
Thanks for being a visionary Mary Jo, thanks for having the wisdom and the patience to listen to EVERYONE. That takes courage – especially in Molalla! Good job and bravo!!

Keep those email record requests going to city hall – it is a fantastic portrait of how pathetic the “leadership” of Molalla is – in these times, with all the problems and with NO JOBS AND NO BUSINESS TO SPEAK OF HERE – Jacober and crew have time to worry about being the email police?
Thank heaven there is a spam control on personal emails so any “garbage” can be blocked before it even gets to the mailbox. Isn’t technology great? – it is like cutting off a phone call BEFORE IT EVEN HAS A CHANCE TO RING. A flush without bothering to flush! I guess the “good” Councilors don’t have that spam option like us “private” folks do! Or else they could just stop “talking” altogether – it wouldn’t matter much, given the quality of “work” they do.
It is really hilarious how people in Molalla believe that PERSONALITY trumps skill or facts – or that words can really change anyone’s minds. I hope everyone who has to “deal” with losers like the Jacobers keeps good files of the paranoid and crazy things they write – and DO. Someday – hopefully next election – the FACTS will come back to haunt them. Keep records, folks, of stories told, promises made, questions that were refused answers, files that are closed. charges that are too high, lies told in public meetings – or all the silence you hear when you should be hearing from people working to protect your life and investment in the community. If people are telling you FACTS then what ARE they telling you – and should they be representing you and your interests?
I can hardly wait to bring out my email file of “creative” profanity/threats from someone who is married to a city “official” – keep them coming!!!!!! We will have some great election”handouts” in the future – posting on the street corners, etc. It will be fun to show how two faced some “elected officials” here are.
I think the best way to put it is “PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULDN’T THROW STONES”.

And, how is the Good Old Boy parallel universe blog coming city “leaders”? There still seems to be a big BLANK SPACE where your ideas and comments should be. Just like the dead air at the Molalla City website – always promises, never results, if I could I would write a city theme song about that.

Note: it is good to keep people with too much time on their hands busy with honest work – raking leaves, cutting the lawn, picking up trash, volunteering to do something worthy. Just a thought! “Empty hours” might be letting “mischief” happen!

The thing to worry about is could those outrageous “STICKS AND STONES” emails I am holding hurt the reputation of office holder who is connected to the “thrower” – will the “nice” people here be offended? I guess only time will tell!

One more note about Queen Jacober – if she wants crow about poll results at City Council – how about telling the WHOLE TRUTH ?
It is, to be polite, a cop out not to tell the “results” of the Potter poll where 80-90% are voting to say that POTTER IS DOING A BAD JOB. I guess you just forgot, Jacober, to say “thanks” to the blog for THAT PIECE OF INFO? Or could if be that you, as usual, are CENSORING INFORMATION? I am sure the Council and the citizens would have liked to hear the WHOLE STORY for a change.

It was quite hilarious to see Witch Jacober in “action” at the Planning Commission/City Council Joint session on July 7.
Her FEAR of Free Speech, the basis of American Democracy, was apparent as she blew hard and sputtered about the all the bad feedback coming down on Molalla Plannin’. I guess that she WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND that when a city runs on NEPOTISM and pays a PROFESSIONAL SALARY to an uneducated layperson to do work that REQUIRES a SIX YEAR DEGREE – A CERTIFIED PLANNER! – and when that LAYPERSON makes a total plannin’ hash of a city people might notice.
Watching her prod at agency reps to try to get them say “nice” things about Molalla’s plannin’ boob was pretty funny.
The funniest part was that these urbane reps had to watch Molalla’s bush league team do their usual inane infighting in public and show their total ignorance about legally defensible planning! Funny!
Watching Dick Miller “OUR” PLANNIN’ CHAIR FROM WOODBURN! MARION COUNTY! almost blow a gasket as usual when challenged about an issue must have really opened those reps eyes! When Plannin’ Commission Chair Dick became a red faced mess when a Councilor asked a simple question it totally drove home how CLOSED MINDED MOLALLA “LEADERS” ARE. That is a recipe for disaster, especially given the intellectual caliber of the assembled “leaders” – if I were those “leaders” I’d be begging for all the help I could get!
I wish we had some of the pathetic exchanges on video tape. Maybe next time the Witch Jacober can prod the reps and try to get them to say how swell she is, too. The reps looked glum beyond glum listening to Jacober’s shrill missives – it was glaring when the DLCD rep refused to endorse or engage in Witch Jacober’s supposed knowledge of population forecasting. What the “outsider” reps carried away was a picture of how hidebound and afraid of change and challenge Molalla “leaders” really are.
So, Witch Jacober – why aren’t you leading the charge to the COUNTY to propose your supposed “new” population projection? You indicated YOU are now an EXPERT ON THE SUBJECT so time is a wastin’ – every day is another day that YOU allow your plannin’ boob to make more UGLY and COSTLY plannin’ mistakes that puts Molalla up at the top of the list for the “WORSE PLANNED TOWN IN THE STATE”.
Maybe we can name that bad plannin’ award the “POTTER BOOBIE”. and you can proudly clutch it at public meetings.
OPEN YOUR EYES, Witch Jacober, and look at what YOU have allowed to be “created” by endorsing an untrained layperson as “plannin’ boob” – in this case you did not get what you paid for. You paid for professional services and got a hatchet job that the city will never recover from. But I guess when you are on this losin’ bush league team you are too provincial to care – or to know better.
Closed minded, non-creative backwoods people are threatened by public debate. How sad and how restrictive that is to the future here – but protective, too, since closed minded, non- creative backwoods “leaders” will protect us from growth by default, because their closed minded, non-creative, non professional backwoods plannin’ fools will shoot themselves in the foot and next to no one will want to come here for business – business has to be smart about where to develop and one encounter with the plannin’ fools/”leaders” would cause anyone with ideas, money and a brain to run to any other city on the planet.
NOTHING CAME DURING THE BOOM EXCEPT “CHEAPER THAN OTHER CITIES” ILL PLANNED DEVELOPMENT – what does Witch Jacober expect to come now? High end begets high end – high end isn’t coming to build on a hill with a view of the roar of a proposed TRUCK BYPASS – or will your plannin’ boob withhold that absurd future plan, too?
And where are the High End stores, High End schools, High End landscaping, High End planing and High End restaurants – HIGH END LEADERS AND CITY OFFICIALS!!!!! – and HIGH END EVERYTHING necessary to maintain those HIGH ENDERS?
And watch out – if anyone HIGH END comes they might be REAL LEADERS – and that would be scary, wouldn’t it, Jacober? Scary if the good old boy cabal lost it’s iron fisted control?
First impressions count! Those acres and acres of brownfields, phony patch work “estates” and piles of ugly empty buildings become a self fulfilling prophecy: cheap begets cheap and horrific plannin’ begets more horrific plannin’ and empty begets empty.
Yet “leader” Witch Jacober thinks all is going swimmingly in Molalla plannin’ land – I guess she must be wearing a blindfold when she drives through town – she must never go anywhere else for comparison or read any articles about the dire future prospects – economic and residential – for boxcanyon backwater boonievilles like Molalla – especially boonievilles “run” (into the ground!) by “leaders” like her!
A vibrant future requires open debate, diverse ideas, and the courage to confront what is wrong and change it. People like the hidebound Witch Jacober are so afraid of losing control they are threatened by change and challenge. These ignorant “leaders” are killing any chance for Molalla’s future with their closed minded insider clubs and their advocacy of NEPOTISM.
